Save The Earth

In 2019, Space Camper Cosmic IPA blasted onto the scene. While her origin story is a mystery shrouded in an enigma, her mission is clear – to Save the Earth, the Only Planet with Beer.

Her assignment aligns with the environmental practices to which Boulevard Brewing Company adheres every day, from recycling to zero-landfill to energy production and conservation. With Space Camper’s help, we will take our continuing responsibility to protect and conserve the environment beyond the bounds of the brewery!

With your purchase of Space Camper or any of her ever-growing cadre of friends, you have enlisted in the fight! To date, our mission has committed more than $70,000 to sustainable causes, including tree planting and water protection. We hope you will embrace Space Camper’s mission to Save the Earth, the Only Planet with Beer – and the only planet we have.

Boulevard Prairie at Lake Springfield 2024

Back in 2023, in partnership with the Springfield-Greene County Park Board, Boulevard Brewing Co. + Space Camper sponsored a 4.5-acre plot of land to grow a wildflower prairie AKA a Beer Prairie, now in its second spring. What were little-used sections of park lawns are being replaced by native wildflowers which help restore wildlife habits and relieve pressure on erosion problems.

Tree Planting in 2024

Space Camper supports tree planting efforts with the Arbor Day Foundation. Founded in 1972, the Arbor Day Foundation is the world’s largest member nonprofit dedicated to planting trees. Over 50 years they’ve planted 500 million trees, and they’re just getting started!

Bridging the Gap to Green

In 2023, we donated $5,000 to Bridging The Gap and teaming up to highlight simple actions we all can take to green up our communities, protect our water, and conserve energy. Based in our hometown, BTG’s mission is to make the greater Kansas City region a more sustainable place to live, work, and play – and engages more than 1,400 volunteers annually in hands-on, planet-saving action.

Giving Back to Mother Nature

In the fall of 2021 we partnered with the Kansas City Parks and Recreation Department to plant 27 trees at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Square Park. This is a part of Boulevard’s sustainability commitment and Space Camper’s mission, “Save the Earth! It’s the only planet with beer!” About a dozen brewery employees spent their afternoon digging holes and placing the trees in their new home. We look forward to visiting the park and seeing the trees grow for years to come.
